Sonor AQ2 150th Anniversary 10 12 14 16 22 + 14 Snare -EBN

In early 2025, SONOR kicked-off its 150th Anniversary year with the release of its high end and very limited anniversary products. However, we didn’t want to stop there. Because we want to celebrate 150 years of SONOR with all SONOR fans, we are proud to introduce the 150th Anniversary AQ2 Shell Set.

Similar to our regular AQ2s, these drums feature 100% maple shells made from a combination of North American and Chinese maple. Ebony replica veneer is used for the outer ply of the shells and the bass drum hoops. As on all high end SONOR drums, the veneer is set vertical. It is finished with clear high gloss lacquer. In terms of hardware, these drums use SONOR’s proven AQ-series shell hardware, including the die cast AQ lugs with TuneSafe, the SMART Mount tom suspension system and the DTH 4000 double tom holder. All badges feature an embossed 150th Anniversary logo. Additionally, the Bass Drum is outfitted with an exclusive anniversary logo head.

Shell Construction

All drums use the same shell construction as the regular AQ2s, including 4 plies of Noth American, 3 plies of Asian Maple, as well as 1 ply of Ebony Replica outer veneer. The bass drum shell is 7.2mm thick, whereas the toms, floor toms and snare drum are 5.8mm.

Ebony Replica Veneer

All drums, as well as the inside and outside of the bass drum hoops, are finished with 1 ply of Ebony Replica Outer Veneer that is finished with clear high gloss lacquer.

Exclusive Badges

Next to the regular AQ2 designation, all badges feature an embossed 150th Anniversary Logo. These badges are exclusive to this 150th Anniversary AQ2 shell set.

Snare Drum Features

The snare drum, that is included with this shell set, features all of our regular AQ2 appointments, like the standard throw-off and 2.3mm Power Hoops.

Exclusive Bass Drum Front Head

The bass drum is equiped with an exclusive black pre-dampened head, featuring our 150th Anniversary Logo.

Damaged or Defective goods

We are prepared to replace free of charge or offer a full refund for any Goods which are proved to be of defective manufacture or materials at the time of their purchase. Most items except consumables (i.e. Sticks and Drum Skins) are guaranteed for 12-24 months and we will act on your behalf with the manufacturer and whenever possible provide you with a loan item free of charge.

International Orders and Delivery

Orders placed for dispatch internationally will have the VAT amount removed before processing. Please be aware that VAT is Now Paid at Point of Arrival. As well as local VAT, you may also have to pay any duty that is due if the goods were not made in the EU or UK.

Large Parcels which exceed 30kg (volume metric weight may be applicable on the box size) or 175cm in length will be subject to a postage surcharge. We will notify you of the charge on receipt of your order.

At Drumshack, we offer our customers the option of selling their used musical instruments and part exchanging goods against any of our products, including 2nd Hand.

Simply fill out our form here to submit your product for consideration. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse items if they are in bad condition, not relevant to the shop...etc.

To sell us equipment you must be able to transport the goods to our shop in South London (full details on our contact page). We also require 2 forms of ID - one with a photo (eg drivers licence / passport) and another being a recently dated letter to your address.

Price Matching

At Drumshack, we check our online prices regularly to offer our customers competitive pricing on our products. However, if you do find something cheaper, it never hurts to ask!

We will price match UK online or in store quotes only and the product itself needs to be "like for like". Please make sure that the offer has exactly the same product as the one you wish to purchase including the colour, the version...etc.

Though we will not usually price match Ebay or Amazon, if it is a product advertised on those platforms, we are happy to look at it.
